Cannot Connect to Internet after removing Malware

Ran RogueKiller, MalwareBytes, HitmanPro and MGTools and still cannot connect to the internet. Problem: I removed viruses with Avira Antivirus software and after restarting PC, could not connect to the internet. Using Windows XP
Symptoms:
Network Connection was wiped out. ipconfig /renew gives RPC server not available. Starting all services necessary and still cannot connect. Cannot set up an internet connection. Network Connections folder completely empty. When adding a new connection, wizard just idle at final window. Cannot restart Remote conn. svs. Not sure how to proceed When trying to set LAN settings in IE, checking auto connect and then OK, just does nothing. Window does not apply.

 

Ok I got around this issue by using the System Tool and restoring my PC to the state it was the day before I removed the malware. Fortunately the malware infection happend after this, so when I re-scanned my PC it was clean and the operating sytem files were fine and I could successfully connect to the internet.
