#2 son's laptop is not connecting to Itunes paid for track downloads. 274 are awaiting downloads but we get various errors. :cry

I have installed latest versions of iTunes and Quicktime from Major Geeks.

I have rebooted. I have run various cleaning programs.

    Error messages are:-

First up how do I stop Vista from "helping" me out by blocking programs?
How can I stop this from happening ever again? Registry edit?
How do I unlock some programs that Vista says are blocked but are actually running?

    RE: Acer eNet Management.
Can I deletes this? Why do I need it?

Laptop is an Acer Aspire 5520G, 2 gigs of RAM. Vista Home premium (no SP1)
Only 5gigs of free space on C:. This will be attended to, with programs uninstalled off C: and loaded on other partition.

We are able to log onto Major Geeks through Opera or IE, OK.

    Need lots of help.

Forget to mention, both laptops (my XP Pro SP3) and #2 sons' laptop (Vista Home Premium) are running through a Netgear Wireless ADSL Modem / Router, model DG834Gv3 (with updated firmware --@ 5/2008)

Both are using RJ45 Ethernet connected cables from Router to laptops. RJ45 cable to #2 sons laptop is around 15 metres long but has been workling perfectly up until last night, when I tried to shift modem / router but without disconnecting anything. I think this was co-incidental but who knows. :cry

    Hi Bazza

What errors, do give the full message as it will help diagnose the issue?

Have you turned off your security applications to test if one of them is blocking this?
    What security apps are installed?

    What applications are blocked?
Likelyhood is that if blocked some are not 100% Vista compatible or your managing them with another application for startups.

Acer EManagement I uninstalled on my laptop as I didnt see the value in having it.

Thanks Halo, I was hoping you'd reply. I thought you had an Acer Aspire.
My thoughts also on Acer EManagement.
Error messages were written down verbatim, as they occurred.
I haven't installed a printer on that laptop as yet. HP say I need a 160meg download for Vista version for HP PSC 1410 All-in-One. Ridiculous. :p

I installed the CD that came with my printer onto my DELL vista desktop, but it won't alow it to be installed on #2 son's Vista laptop. :cry

I will try iTunes again this morning, but as he goes back to work on Green Island today,

for around one week, I may be late in coming back to you.
