Cannot "Copy"

    My desktop windows xp is corrupted. I have connected the hard drive to my laptop. I can open the drive and my files are there and will open. But the copy function will not work. When I right click on a file the options open and when I highlight "Copy" nothing happens.

    Any suggestions?

    Can we assume you tried to Paste the copied (or not) file somewhere? Because if you just click on the copy command you won't actually see anything happen until you do something with the copied file.
