Where are you getting your drivers from? If it is a CD, the network drivers may be on the disk with the chipset drivers. Do you have any conflicts in the Device Manager?

my network adapter seemed to have suddenly disappeared, and i tooled around and found it in "HIDDEN DEVICES" in the "DEVICE MANAGER". It had disabled itself somehow. if you find it there, it might b disabled, and you can enable it there.

Is this network part of the motherboard, or a PCI card?
