    1. Double-click My Computer, or Computer (for Vista and Win7)
    2. Right-click the drive letter associated with your memory device, then select Format
(in the sample image below, we right-clicked on H:).

Checked every where I can think of, but cannot locate the above.

I have a camera (vivicam) that I cannot format this is part of what I need to do in order to format the camera

WTF? Did you rip this from another thread and transplant it here?
Who's telling you to double click your computer and why?
What is it that you can't locate?
    What's your question?

Thanks for your reply. I know you format a camera inside the camera.
I copied what I posted from an email from Vivtar(vivcam) support group.

RustySavage, I really don't need your kind of a post/answer. I pray you will have a better day, don't reply, you are not needed

When you connect a camera and switch it on your computer should see the camera's memory as a removable drive and give it a drive letter. It should then appear in Computer. Providing you are absolutely sure you are looking at the correct drive you can right click it and format. You also need to know what format you should select, FAT, FAT32, NTFS or whatever the manual recommends. Formatting will remove any files already on the drive.

This NOTE was on the page of the manual I posted, hence my reason for posting the link.
For complete compatibility, be sure NOT to select FAT 32 as the file system when you format the SD card in your computer. Memory cards formatted in FAT 32 file system will not be recognized by this ViviCam 3785.

Java, in your first post you should have mentioned exactly where you got the directions
rather then make us guess. Remember: the more information you supply, the better assistance you receive.

You wouldn't go to the doctor and say. "I have a pain" then stop and make him guess where you have a pain, what type it is and when it started. You'd explain in detail so he could do his best to help.
