Does this mean you can connect to the internet using a cable connection?

Does this mean your wifi is connected and you have all the necessary WEP or WPA security but you can't use the wifi to get on the internet?

    In Internet Explorer

    tools>internet options>connections tab>click LAN settings

There should be no options ticked on the LAN

Have you got a third party firewall, blocking things.
    Try with it off

so your default gateway is 1.254 not 1.1 can you ping 192.168.1.254?
and are you using static ips then? its shows your dhcp isnt enabled.

You haven't said what version of Windows. So you will have to adapt these instructions to yours.

Open network connections from the control panel, the network icon in the system tray or network neighbourhood or whereever.

    Identify your LAN

    Right click and choose properties

identify that you have an entry marked Internet Protocol
    Highlight it and choose properties

    make sure that
    Obtain an IP address automatically

    and
    obtain a DNS address automatically

    are selected
