Cannot install printer driver

After using CCleaner (coincidence?) I'm not able to install any printer.
When I try it I get a final error "Failed to install xxx PrinterDriver".

Any ideas how to solve this?

 

This is probably too simple, but did you use the backup feature when you used CCleaner?
Restore the last changes and see what happens.
If that doesn't work repost with some more info - OS, system.
Someone else should be able to help you out.

Restore didn't solve the problem.
OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

 

you could try going to the website for your make of printer and see if you can download the drivers from there. just an idea to see if that works.

Some files were delected, for shure.
Re-installed Win XP (repair option) and the problem was gone.
