Cannot Install

I have just tried to install 3 brand new PC games.
On clicking on the install button of each game I get the same screen message ;-

"Epson Scan"

X Epson Scan cannot be started.
Please use Troubleshooting Assistant to solve the problem.
Do you want to open the Troubleshooting Assistant?

Running Win XP Pro Version 2002 SP2



What's all that about????????Any advice would be helpful.

does you have EPSON Scanner installed
if there is, try to reinstall it first
then try to install your games

 

Thank's for the info ....
Trouble being is I have an all in one Epson Stylus CX6600 Printer/scanner.
I could try to uninstall the scanner side of the machine and see if that works..

 

I have found it useful to disable everything in the startup group in msconfig and reboot before installing any new software. This usually insures that nothing conflicts with the install. After installing the software go back into msconfig and re-enable your startup items and reboot. This usually saves you from having to uninstall and re-install any software of hardware.
