Cannot Open Outlook Attachment

    Hello have an attachment sent to me

    but cannot open it , its highlited grey

    is there anyway of opening the attachment

    Do you mean Outlook or Outlook Express? If the latter, Tools-> Options -> Security tab -> Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus". Then be careful what you open.

    HI!
    What is the file extension of the attachment?
    .doc, .txt, .avi, .wpd.....etc.
    If you don't have the needed program or haven't assigned a program to open a file of that extension you won't be able to.
    There's also the possibility that the file got corrupted.
