cannot open PDF files

I cannot open pdf files. when I try, I get the block 'open' 'save' 'close". I click on open and the box comes up again.

 

Fixed it. I had to reload adobe. Works now

 

Just a note. There is a (freeware) alternative for working with .pdf files from;

Foxit Reader is the equivalent of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Yes, they're both "free", however, Foxit Reader has a much smaller system footprint and resource requirements. I've been using it for quite a while now with no regrets.

Foxit Software also has a pdf "writer/editor", whereas Adobe capabilities for this aren't free. (To the best of my knowledge anyway.)
