Cannot open .ttf attachment

Why is it when someone sends me an attachment of a font - I cannot open it.....all I get is "an invalid font file" message. I tried it on several different computers - nothing worked....yet the person who sent it says it works fine for them!!!????

This error commonly reads as such: <Filename> is an invalid font file.

The error occurs because an invalid condition was encountered, possibly due to an invalid font file. This behavior happens when files located within compressed folders do not pass file type information to Windows.

Possible Solution: Refer to the following Microsoft MSKB Article ID: 188809 - Cannot Copy Fonts from a Compressed Folder to the Fonts Folder

Side Note: If that workaround does not work for you; ask the person where they downloaded the font (which they sent to you in the attachment) from and inquire at that website.
