Cannot open xp recovery console

    I am trying to clear up malware on my computer and am going through all the steps in the Read Me First post. But I am stuck at the ComboFix stage as I cannot open xp recovery console as per the instructions. I have downloaded it from CD but upon booting, when the option to start in normal mode or recovery console comes up I cannot toggle between the 2, ie my keyboard isn't working. I am determined to complete the whole cleaning process so hope someone can help PLEASE!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    You don't need to open the Recovery Console. All you were supposed to was install the Recovery Console to your PC. For now just skip ComboFix for now and finish the remaining instructions. Then attach your logs. Make sure you tell us what malware problems you are still having after running the READ & RUN ME.
