I removed the hard drive of my laptop, put it in a enclosure and have it as an external drive. However, when I tried to access Documents & Settings to view my previously saved pictures, the "access is denied error" comes out. Please advise what can I do..

You cannot access your old files because you do not have the same user profile on your new computer. You will have to take ownership of these files. Please see this Microsoft KB titled, How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP, and let us know if you have any problems!

Great! Thanks for helping me out. It works well for me.
In case I returned the hard drive into my laptop, do I have to do the same?
