    I have a strange problem
There is just one website in the whole world that I cannot Access. Its http://www.hiexpressepsom.co.uk/. My ISP is Virgin Media and I use their
    broadband modem for the web.
On Firefox 4, the site cycles every 2 or 3 seconds between 'connecting' and 'transferreing' data but nothing is ever displayed.
I have a clean windows XP home deskrop PC and I use a Netgear WGR514 router for my little home network where I can fire up a laptop and
    a wireless printer.
Others can access the site, e.g my neighbor on a different ISP (BT) and another Virgin Media friend (7 miles away and hence probably a
different initial server) and I can get to it using an old BT account (Telephone dial up), albeit very slowly!
Looking around the web, I have tried a number of things, none of which have worked/
    a) Using other browsers, IE, Chrome, Opera and Safari.
    b) Trying the site from my wireless laptop (XP home) over my home network
    c) Taking my router completely out of the loop by plugging the cable modem staraight into the laptop.
    d) Switching off my AVG Security and Windows firewall
    e) Checking that the site is not on any blacklists, either on the web or in my router
    f) Changing the DNS server address in the router to Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
    g) Clearing out my DNS cache
    h) I did some basic network tests. The site pings ok for me (Average time over 10 pings: 119.7 ms). I also did a Trace route (see below). I
note leg 9 'times out' but the interpretation of this data is outside of my competence.

Can anybody help? The problem is driving me crazy!

I learnt from another site that by using my ISP's server proxy address webcache.virginmedia.com port 8080 (on Firefox I went to Tools, Options, Network, Conections & then the settings tab)
I could then see the site. But I now worry now whether this opens some other can of worms!
