    I can't seem to access a particular website, http://www.TotalGFX.net

My friends seem to be able to access it but I cannot. Here's a screen of what I get when I try to enter it in Firefox

I have another computer connected to the same router, and it can't connect either. My friend who lives two blocks away with the same ISP can connect perfectly however.

A quote from my ISP (MTS)

The full text can be found here

I set the MTU on my local machine AND on the router to 1362 and it hasn't changed a thing. I tried rebooting the router and it won't work.

My hosts file is empty and my DNS service has been tried Manual, Automatic, Stopped, Started, Disabled and still nothing works.

I also can't access a site using the same nameserver, http://www.wowenkho.com/

So it's either a problem with my ISP, my Router or the nameservers at fh-net.com (ns1.fh-net.com and ns2.fh-net.com)

Thanks for any help I can get here,
    Chris

It's definately not my router, as I tried connecting without it and it wouldn't let me in. So it has to be my ISP playing tricks on me... But that's weird, my friend has MTS and can access the site, while I cannot. This has been going on for about a day actually.

    Well....I'm a little baffeled.

nslookup reports the IP address as 72.36.131.74 but you can not connect via http://72.36.131.74. You can ping the IP address and do a tracert without a problem. The DNS systems of Direct Information PVT LDT (ns1.fh-net.com), who own the domain name, do not know www.totalgfx.net. Very strange.

    This is a good one.

    BTW....I can access the site.

I registered the site myself and it worked immediately for a couple days. Now it's all screwed up and I can't connect. I tried the ip you gave me and I can ping it. I tried /flushdns and repairing the connection... to no avail

    From Command prompt...

Do an ipconfig /all, what DNS address do you get?

Do a "nslookup www.totalgfx.net", what do you get?

The do a nslookup and at the > prompt say "server 167.206.245.69" then at the > prompt say "www.totalgfx.net", see anything different?

BTW...to get out of the > prompt type EXIT.

Hummmmm. Do you know DNS? I find the couple of days thing very interesting. Do you own the domain and did you set up the DNS?

I own the domain and pointed it to ns1.fh-net.com and ns2.fh-net.com

It worked for three days, then it stopped completely, for me anyways. I contacted my ISP and they said it could be that their DNS servers are slow, because he couldn't get in either.

Have you tried my suggestion on an earlier post....results?
