can't boot into windows

Wow am I having a bad week. I've been having some issues with a game of mine which is posted in a different thread and I thought I may have found the problem. I set a restore point and uninstalled sp2, the problem was not repaired so I decided to just go back to my restore point and oh man what a mistake that was. I can't get past the blue screen error that is now coming up and restarting my computer. I tried repairing from the cd but I can't get anything to work. What now? I hate the thought of reformatting and starting all over but I suppose I could. I'll wait a few hours and see what sort of response I get first. By the way I have no idea what the eroor says, it wont sit still long enough to read it.

 

Personally, I'd wipe the drive and re-install... but that's just me. I used to spend far more time trying to diagnose and fix than it would take to complete a fresh install, so I don't hesitate, now. Plus, you can be sure that the performance will be up to snuff.
