Can't connect to internet...

    OK. This is really weird. On my family desktop, I can't connect to the internet, although on my router under the button "Connected", it's green. (Meaning it's connected." On the desktop, it says: Limited or no connectivity." BUT, on my laptop, where it has the card which is connected to the router, it is green, meaning that it's connected. Plus on the laptop, the internet works, which is how I am typing right now. I really need internet for my desktop, as I have to give the laptop back to my business. Someone please help!!!

    windows xp go to the connection under my network places and click the repair button. it'll re assign an ip address to your computer. try this first

    I tried that, and it didn't work. Also, I have WinXPHome and I just uninstalled SP2, so now it says connected, but it doesn't send or recieve any packets. Under support, it says:

    Address Type: Automatic Private Address

    IP Address: 169.254.7.191

    Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

    Default Gateway:

    If more info needed, just post.
