Hello there all. Got an awkward one here. I am using XP sp2 Pro.
I have one 80 gig HD that is partitioned. So I have C & E. I can defrag c, but after a series of power cuts the machine announced (on boot up) that it was going to check drive E: It was a blue xp screen. Now if I try to defrag E it sez no, chkdsk is scheduled to run, please run chkdsk /f. I trid this of course in a dos window but to no avail. I have asked on other xp forums and as a result checked the registry, all is as it should be. I have tried the fsutil dirty query c trick mentioned on this forum. The answer is can't find file. (fsutil dirty query e)

It runs chkdisk every bloody boot up and it is starting to really get on my wick.
How CAN I stop this? Please help. Thanks, Ralph

:cry Oh and I got so 'offed that I tried to format E. No it has an active page file on it! What ever THAT means!
