Cant Delete Movie

    hello everyone,
    this is my first post so I hope I do this right...
    I have a gateway laptop ...still using windows 7...and I downloaded a movie and now I cant delete it....
    I tried to change the name but it wont let me...
    what do I do now? its 2.8 gigs and is taking up alot of space...
    Please help

    What else have you tried. Move it to the desktop and slide it into the Recycle bin?? Right click and delete?

    Is there any error message when you try & delete the file?
    Have you tried deleing the movie within safe mode?

    I have tried to move it but it keeps saying item cant be found...yet its still there...

    Right click / properties / should display path.

    it shows the path right where it is....but I cant move it..delete it....play it...its just keeps saying its not there...
    Im not very good at the computer so you might have to walk me thru the hard stuff

    when I click on open file location it says its empty...when I click on details it says its there and its
    2.8 gigs....Im confused...is it there or its not there?...lol
    then under general it says 0 bytes

    Things to try while I am away:

    Delete file/folder
    Right click Start->Run, copy/paste the following command into the box and press OK:
    A blank command window will open on your desktop, then close in a minute or two. This is normal.

    I wonder if your AV software has scanned & cleaned an infection but has left the file behind which is now empty.
    Can you download the movie again?
