Can't download. Help!

Hi people of Majorgeeks.com. My name is Aj.


I got a slight problem here. I cannot download!


Since i got my computer reformated i've not been able to download anything at all.
It acts like its going to download but doesn't.
I turned off my norton antivirus firewall, my network firewall and im still not able to download anything at all!
Im also not able to right click on anything other then desktop.
Please help guys! thanks.

What operating system do you have?
You might have gotten a virus.

 

I've got Windows XP Pro.
Dont think i got a virus to be honest with you.
Hes able to download at his place but when i bring the computer home im not able to download at all.
Just got it reformated btw.

Hmm...Interesting. Do you have SP2?
How do you connect to the internet (ex.- Dialup, DSL, Cable, Wireless, Satellite, LAN, etc)? I've seen some pretty screwy things with happen because of how the computer is configured to connected to the internet.

I once fixed a somewhat similar right click problem by installing service pack 2.

 

Im using Cable internet.
Rogers Cable that is.

 

I would try calling up you internet service provider. They might have you change some settings or something.
