Can't e-mail due to prohibited virus or spam content

Hi!

Presently we are been unable to e-mail a few recipients. We receive an undeliverable message that says "(reason: 554 The message was rejected because it contains prohibited virus or spam content)." In the past we have been able to e-mail these people without a problem. We run a current version of Norton and keep it updated and we also use Spy Sweeper. We're pretty diligent about keeping the computer clean with both programs. Suggestions? Thanks!

 

It depends upon how the filters are set on the reciepent mail server. Many company's prohibit emails that contain attachnments that end in exe, com, zip, vbs, htm, html and a few others.

 

What if there's no attachment, just simple e-mail messages? We did some test messages to the recipients, without attachments and still received the same error message. Incidentally, if it makes any difference, we can reach these people with our alternate Yahoo! e-mail address. Any other thoughts? Thanks!
