Can't edit my sig...

For some reason I can't edit my sig, it says that it's too long and I can only have two lines. What I entered is well within two lines, being barely more than 1. Not sure what the deal is...

What I wanted to put in my sig -

"The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either." - Benjamin Franklin


Edit: once posted, it's not even close to being 2 line, much less 3.

 

Not sure, try it without the quotes maybe, should be fine re lines.

I went in and modified your sig to what you wanted it. It now shows up in your User Profile but still does not show up in your posts. This is weird and I guess some forum code quirkiness. I'll see what I can do.

Out of interest, when did you last change your sig and what did it say before?

But it said something about only allowing two lines, so I took out the "voting for the lesser of two evils is voting for evil" part and just had the quote, but I got the same thing. Other than saying I was only allowed to have two lines, it also said something about long strings of text may be inadvertently seen as more than one line or something... let me see... No, my mistake. Here is the error message I receive:

"Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 2 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines."

Thanks for the help. I just noticed that it is showing under this post.
