Cant enable sound on new xp instal

I recently instaled xp on a Dell Dimension B110 desktop but without the proper disk im having a hell of a time finding the correct drivers most recently the audio everest says my motherboard is a

Dell 0wf887 Product # Dell Deo51
graphics controller 82865g using intel extreme graphics 2

intel chipset Hub interface
ive tried Dell support and Intel support and tried instaling several audio controllers and even a sound card but cant get anything to work im running xp in sp3 at the moment dose anyone have any ideas?'

ok i installed both doing the chipset first but still nothing...everything in hardware properties says its working fine exept my multimedia device i removed that and now only one of my sound programs says its not working also i cant even run a cd in windows media it wont even start before i get a error message

 

Reboot the computer. Is there any yellow exclamation mark next to your multimedia device or in the Sound, Video and Game Controllers?

 

after my last reboot there are no yellow marks at all but i removed the one that was yellow hoping windows would find it and install a better option.
ive read before about editing your registry so windows thinks ur in sp2 and that would make it easier to install drivers.. but i dont have a clue where to start there mmaybe back at a new install

 

Make sure onboard audio is enabled in BIOS. What is your listing under Sound Devices in Device Manager. Does is list an audio chip like Realtek? If you perform a dxdiag does it give any errors?
