Can't find 960x600 resolution on XP Home

I've had this problem before and there is a method to go to display or somewhere and click on a drop down that lists all resolutions offered but I can't remember it. I change resolutions when I watch sports online and send it to my TV. I believe I'm saying the right resolution, I don't believe it is 900x600.

Right click your desktop and should be there.

All that does is allow access to the display properties which on my computer doesn't have a 860x600 resolution setting. It has 800x600 and then goes to 1024x768 and beyond.I can't find it in the custom save/restore section unless you type it in and save it. Someone told me a while back a place to go and click on a drop down that listed all resolutions to choose from.

I beg to differ, regardless to what your links say. I've used it before.

Sorry, only 800 x 600 in XP Home. You won't find the resolution you mentioned from Display Properties. You may have noticed that resolution listed in some other info or tab button within XP, but it won't be available thru your graphics.

I might agree with you on that one but it still seems to me that I've seen it there before. My memory might be tricking me though.

While trying to get my flash drives installed, I noticed my resolution had changed. I clicked on properties and waah-la, there it was. I thought I'd show you. I'm not saying XP home has them but they're on my desktop properties at this moment.

Gotcha. Tried it with mine but no go. Your specific display graphics controller allows for this resolution apparently. In your original post I thought you had already checked in display properties/settings and the 960 x600 didn't appear.

You're right, right now it's back to not having a 960x600 setting. I don't know what's changing. I went to my nvidia control panel but it didn't do any good. Sometimes if I do a system restore, it has the setting on it again. This sure is a puzzling thing.

I downloaded slimdrivers the other day and updated my drivers but I'll give it a look. I downloaded it and installed them. It had detected a 20.0 driver but installed a 10.0. Ir didn't change any thing. I'll give slimdrivers another look and see what they think. slimdrivers put the 2.0.0.0 back on as lt is the latest driver.

I know this an old post but thought I would add to it anyway. I had a similar experience recently and lost my 960x600 resolution. I solved it by downloading Nvidia latest driver for geforce 5200, installed it and it listed it in desktop properties the next time I opened it.
