Can't find network adapter

    Win98 SE, 5 yr old PC; 192mgRAM, (old and slow)
    Desktop was connected to internet via DSL home network. Had to take to PC store for clean sweep and now system will not reinstall dsl software. says needs network adapter. how do I find out what network adapter is on pc and where to find driver. i have tried driverguidetoolkit.com. the home network system is through bellsouth and 2 wire home portal. please help...this is a surprise present for my son to play on in the game room.

    You can download Everest Home edition or Aida32 from the downloads section on MajorGeeks. Both do a great job of telling you what hardware is in your computer. Once that you know the manufacturer of your NIC, it should just be a matter of going to their site and downloading the correct drivers. Good luck and best wishes! :)
