can't find tab for run as in windows xp

I am trying to play some of my old games, but i can't find the run as tab or button so that i can select the os to run it as. I right click the icon or shortcut, select properties,but it is not there. help would be nice.

 

You are referring to the Compatibility tab, I believe. It is under properties.

 

First of all, isn't the run as command right on the context (aka right-click) menu? If not, then I would recommend that you read KB294676, "How to enable and use the "Run As" command when running programs in Windows"

 

yes the comp.tab it is not there

 

Try the program compatibility wizard. It will allow you to set the compatibility for the programs you are having problems with. As far as not havig the tab, I think only administrative accounts have one.

 

i am the only person using the pc and i am the administrator, so why is it not there?

 

never mind i have gotten it back thanks for the help though.

 

So, how did you get your RUN command back. I can't find mine on the Start Menu nor when I right-clickconfused
