Hey all, I am new to these forums, but frequent OCforums, and 2cpu forums often. Teh problem is, nobody at those has been able to help me get my computer to boot from CD-ROM so that I can up load 2000pro. I have tried several boot disks, and none of them give me the option to enable CD-ROM support. I have no OS on the computer because the harddrive was formatted already. I need to get this computer up and running soon, so if anyone can help, then please do so.

set the CD-ROM to the first boot device in the BIOS. Your Windows 2000 CD should boot right to the installer. From there you can format the drive and install the OS.

Note, DO NOT format the drive prior to installation with any WinME boot disk. This will prevent you from installing Windows 2000.

I have already tried that, and it doesn't boot. It acts like there isn't a cd-rom drive there at all.

Enter the bios and make sure the CD Rom is displayed and working correctly.
