I used to press F2 repeatedly when the Acer logo appeared on screen to get into BIOS. Now that won't work. The computer just continues booting as normal. It's as if I'm not pressing anything at all. What could have happened, and is there another way I can get into BIOS? I'm on Windows 8.1.

No, you misunderstand. F2 is the way I used to get into BIOS on Windows 8.1, and now it's not working anymore.

Sorry, I hadn't read those articles yet when I replied. I just assumed you'd misread what I said. The thing I still don't understand though is how all of a sudden I now have UEFI enabled when I apparently never used to. Up until last night I was using F2 to get into the BIOS, and then I restarted the computer to get in there again, and nothing. The computer just booted up as normal. And now it seems the method you suggested is the only way I can get in. I'd much rather go back to the old way if I could. Hitting one key when a logo appears is much quicker than all those steps.

Thanks. I'll stick with the faster boot times. I don't need to get into the BIOS that often.
