I changed a display setting to high-contrast. I got to it from Control Panel, Display, and that’s all I remember. I did not get to it from Control Panel, Display, Appearance, Color Scheme and then choose a high-contrast color scheme. I’m not sure but I think it was in Settings and then Advanced. I know I clicked an Advanced button. But now the option doesn’t seem to be there to switch back. I switched off high-contrast through the Color Scheme and that made the color scheme different but there are still things I can’t see when browsing the internet. It’s like browsing in safe mode or something. It’s very annoying. How can I get the original settings back?

    Hi

Its possible you were in the Accessabiltiy options, which also has a High Contrast option, to check that this is not the cause of your problem goto,

Control Panel > Accessability Options > click the Display Tab and make sure Use High Contrast is not ticked, untick it if it is and click Apply

OMG that worked! You have no idea how grateful I am. I had knots in my stomach. I couldn't stand browsing that way. It was harder to read and it slowed everything down. Thank you!
