can't get online

hi all,

on my daughter's toshiba laptop, she can't get online under her user name,(adminastrator) but can get on under logged on as a guest. i ran MS Security suite,AVG,and Malware Bytes.found 1 trojan virus and had it eliminated.i was able to make another Adminastrator account and get online.

What do i do to fully fix this machine

If you found Malware you may want to check the Malware section for full details.
Malware is a funny thing and not the HAHA funny either.

If no luck there then check Network connections.
Are you running XP?
Do you have the Network symbol in the system tray (down by the clock)?
Does it have a Red X through it?

A little more info would be helpful.
What happend before it stopped working?
Did you install any software/hardware before it stopped working?

I would definitely check out the Malware section first though, those guys in there work miracles.
