Cant Get Rid Of It!!!

i have recently encountered drastic problems on my computer, most of which i have fixed through reformatting. im running xp home, on a 1.73 ghz pentium m processor and a gig of ram. my problem resides in a spyware issue. upon reformatting my computer, i lost all of my anti virus software for a period of time until i loaded it back on. in that time, i contracted a few viruses. w32.alcra.b is the virus that still resides in a quarantined file that cannot be deleted because it is a zipped file. unfortunately its affects have been felt on my computer and i have numerous spyware popping up on my computer and while im on the internet redirecting my search to end up at some ad website that says there was an error. I do not know what to do, if you can do anything at all i would greatly appretiate it. i have attached a hijackthis log, and have ran symantec antivirus, spy-sweeper, and spy-subtract. at the moment all spyware is off, however it will not last very long. Files in a Quarantine folder should all be deletable. Also files in a quarantine folder cannot hurt you since they are qurantined.

You need to run our standard cleaning procedures which are required before posting HijackThis logs. Also you must install HijackThis properly. You are running it from your Desktop which is where we ask that it not be installed. This is all covered in the below.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
