I have been having problems with WebSearch toolbar. It kept coming up on PestPatrol. I tried the registry edit, it seemed to work. But, it's coming back up on PestPatrol again, and now I have another toolbar popping up, SuperBar. I have read the faq's and malware tips. Can't seem to get rid of these toolbars. I also have, spybot, spyware blaster, adaware se, microsoft anti-spyware, and spyware doctor. None of these are detecting the toolbars, however spyware blaster keeps unblocking HuntBar. This is becoming a pain!

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem:

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

Reading is one thing and following the directions is another thing. Did you run the Trend Micro online scanner. I do not see any evidence of it in the log. Remember we asked you to provide feedback on the steps so we know what happens.

Also we indicate that borwsers ( C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe ) must be shutdown before using HJT. You must remember to do this each time.

Since you did not tell me which tDid you try using Add/Remove programs to uninstall the toolbar.

Is the below toolbar the one you want to get rid of:

    O2 - BHO: REALBAR - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-C0FF-FD60B590A87D} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\Real\Toolbar\realbar.dll
    O3 - Toolbar: REALBAR - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-C0FF-FD60B590A87D} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\Real\Toolbar\realbar.dll

Please post exactly what you scanners are detecting.

Are you sure it is not a Browers Add-on that you need to remove using Manage Add-ons
