Can't Import Bookmarks into Firefox.

Can't Import Bookmarks into Firefox.

I have been having problems with importing my Bookmarks into Firefox.
It only imports someof them but not all.

So, i then opend the Bookmark file in Chrome and removed all the duplicates and then saved them as a new HTML Bookmark file.

When i try to import this into Firefox i get this error messege.

Any ideas?

Because Chrome defaults to saving bookmarks in its bookmarks toolbar, you should be able to find your imported bookmarks in a folder named From Google Chrome in the Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar.

So have you checked FF's bookmark toolbar?

I use PaleMoon and FF with the classic theme restorer so I do not have a library window. I use the old "organize bookmarks" style.

It dosen't seem to have worked even though it says it has. I can't see a Google Chrome Window. And i have also tried doing it with I.E with again no luck.

It seems to have worked now. I still don't know why they would not all import into I.E though.

Can anyone recommend a good add on for finding and deleteing duplicate Bookmarks in Firefox?

I use this http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/am_deadlink.html
I actually used this in Win 9x, perhaps for 2k then it no longer worked.
I tried the newest version last year on my Win 7 desktop and it works well for me.

Some sites which have a redirect might report not working so before I clear out what bad links are reported, I check myself to see if the site is broken.

Whats the point of it? It says you cant delete the Duplicate Links.

At least you know if you have any and can go in and remove them.
I'd rather know and cull my list than to try and guess if i had duplicates.

Keep searching. If you find something, please share.
