Whenever I try an install any new software, or open the Task Manager, I get and error pop-up that reads:

    --
Windows TaskManager has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
    --

Have ran Ad-Aware and all up-to-date McAffee Virus and Spyware detection and cleaned whatever it found, but everytime I restart... it comes back. I can post a Hijack This log if you want.

I really need to get rid of this, HELP PLEASE.

I have already ran through the tutorial for removing spyware, etc. and the problem still persists. Can anyone help me? Thanks

I've ran all the programs on the READ ME FIRST post, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I've attached the HijackThis log from Safe Mode (I can't save it in Normal Mode). I know its full of bad stuff, but I don't know whats good from bad. Can someone please help?

We are going to need a log form normal boot mode to complete this. Why can't you save a log in normal boot mode? Please describe the problem.

Try the below steps so we can get started.

If you are using WinXP or WinMe, make sure you have system restore disabled (per the tutorial).
For all OS types, make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\System\svchost.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Services\{BEC15DF9-9520-479B-B532-B71E9C418D6C} <--- the whole folder
    c:\windows\qsnjhuy.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\win32.exe
    c:\windows\jmgfcyy.exe
    c:\windows\sumawwg.exe
    c:\windows\ryshfdy.exe
    c:\windows\ixmmrie.exe
    c:\windows\wnijgry.exe
    c:\windows\mvbawlg.exe

    c:\windows\phyrwln.exe
    c:\windows\gjvmcwq.exe
    c:\windows\qffnpng.exe
    c:\windows\scgstcs.exe

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST). Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.

Now we need to Reset Web Settings:
    1) If you have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, goto step 2. If not, skip to step 3.
    2) Now right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK. Then skip step 3.
    3) If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, click Start, Control Panel (for some systems it may be Start, Settings, Control Panel), Internet Options, Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log. And tell us how things are working.

You're welcome, however, you still have a few of the same problems present as last time. I wonder if any of the McAfee stuff (there is a load of it) is blocking the fixes. You must tell me if you get any error messages when doing the below fixes.

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://hsremove.com/done.htm
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WindowsUpdate] C:\WINDOWS\System\svchost.exe /s
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Service Host] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Services\{BEC15DF9-9520-479B-B532-B71E9C418D6C}\SVCHOST.EXE
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msjava.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msjava.dll (file missing)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete:
C:\WINDOWS\System\svchost.exe <-- do not delete the svchost.exe file in the system32 folder
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Services\{BEC15DF9-9520-479B-B532-B71E9C418D6C} <--- the whole folder

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Make sure you tell me if you cannot find or delete these.

    Now run Ccleaner

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log. And tell us how things are working.

You still have the below item:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Disk Keeper] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Services\{BEC15DF9-9520-479B-B532-B71E9C418D6C}\SECURITY.EXE

Fix this line again like last time using HJT and then boot into safe mode and delete the below folder:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Services

Then reboot normal, and post another HJT log.
