Can't Install HP Printer Driver...

    I recently had a few problems with the family computer which caused me to repair a windows XP installation. This caused me a few problems but I eventually managed to get Service Pack 2 installed which cleared up all the problems but one.

    I can't install my HP PSC 1510 printer. I have downloaded the driver from the HP site, I run the program which happily installs the driver for me. But when I go to printers in the control panel the printer is not there. So I then try to install it via the add printer wizard which finds the printer but no matter where I tell it to look it can't find the driver for it.

    The printer was installed before the repair of XP and it seems that it's sort of sat there in some kind of driver purgatory...

    Hi

    Make sure you are logged into the admin account and your Antivirus is disabled.

    Re-uninstall the driver from HP and then run CCLeaner and its cleaner tool and then the registry tool (run the registry one until no items are shown for removal).

    Then follow the instructions exactly for installing the driver (remember no USB cable plugged in until requested) HERE
