Got a new hard drive today but cant put in my PC.According to the user manual there should be rails under the main drive but there isnt. And when I finally squeezed it into the enclosure above the main drive I was unable to secure it properly.
Nonetheless I went ahead and and fired up the PC to hear grinding so promptly shutdown.
Have I banjoed the new drive?
If not does anyone know where I get one of those enclosures that turn an internal drive into an external? In the UK

I don't think you damaged it unless you dropped it in the toilet. ;)

You can get an external USB drive enclosure. Make sure you plug it in a usb 2.0 if it says so.

    Thats a relief.
It would be better if the wife allowed me to spend the money on some other components to build a basic PC but shes tight!
