Direct Access Archive, or .daa, is a "proprietary" file format developed by PowerISO Computing for disk image files. The .daa image is stored in a special format for downloading (just like an .iso image) but can only be opened, converted and/or burned correctly by using the shareware/trialware program called PowerISO.

    Important Notes:

PowerISO Computing provides a free utility for Linux and MacOS X platforms which allows users to extract DAA files or convert them into ISO format. The PowerISO Windows trial version is limited in that it only supports converting images from DAA files up to 300MB, less than half of the capacity of a standard CD.

The unregistered version will display a dialog prompts you to register, and you can not create or edit image files greater than 300MB with the unregistered version. To remove these limitations, users must register. Registration is currently $29.95.

As far as I know, currently there is no information about the format available for third party implementation to read or write the .daa format. Among mainstream applications, the .daa formatted files can only be opened or converted with PowerISO (Windows and Linux only) although the Linux version can only extract or convert it to ISO.

    Good Luck!

.prc is either for a Palm device (Palm Resource Code) or it's some type of a Corel Presention file, created with Corel WordPerfect Office... the .mbp is occasionally accompanied by .prc files, and is part of a MoBiPocket file. What is MobiPocket? It's an EBook reader type of program for portable devices like Palms, Blackberry's, and the like. I found this: http://www.mobipocket.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5455&sid=494a2df12b48a1e8fdca8ae0e7bfb752
I think that www.mobipocket.com is your best best to find out what to do with those files.
If that isn't what the MBP files are, look here: http://filext.com/file-extension/MBP
    I hope this helps...
