If I click directly on any .pdf file from say the desktop, and I get the following error:

    "C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxxx\Desktop\xxxxxxxxxx.pdf is not a valid Win32 application."

But I can open the file if I go into Adobe Reader 6.0 first and open the .pdf file from there....

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    bullseye,

Do you have Acrobat 6 reader or the full professional version (writer as well)?

If the problem is only with Acrobat 6 (reader only free version) then I would suggest you remove the program through the control panel, Add/Remove and download version 7.0 from the link below.

I'm embarrassed that it was that simple to fix. Thanks for your help Steve.
