Can't pull up Favorites

Hi, I know I don't know nothing about this thing, so I need some REAL help.
I installed a new CD-Burner, and now I can't pull up my fravorites, I get a dialog box that says
Program not found: Windows cannot find YBROWSER.EXE I click ok
another box appears: cannot find file C\YBROWSER.EXE I click ok again
another box appears : access to the specified device,path,or file is denied I again click ok
another box appears: Windows Explorer-the object c\windows\desktop\url refers to has been removed or is unaccesible I again click ok

I opened internet explorer and typed in my url (addres) again and clicked add to favorites . I then click the desired url in favorites and i got the above dialog boxes.
please help me i can't do without my favorites.
I have a gateway w/ windows 98
