    Alright, so heres the thing.

I want to reformat my slave HDD (20gb) but there is some weirdness going on with it. I've tried to hook it up as a slave, which about 3 days ago, it worked, showed up in My Computer, but would lag this computer very bad. But I wanted to recover files, so I didn't format it. Then the next day, it wouldn't show up in My Computer.

So I've been tinkering with it, I've gotten it to show up in Device Manager, but still refuses to show up in Disk Manager/My Computer, I've tried changing letters of the drives, and everything, and when I populate my slave drive, it says "Unreadable", I've tried to reformat it by using Window XP boot disks, but it gives me a BSoD (when trying to reinstall/delete partition) saying "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGE_AREA" or something. So I have to reboot.

I've tried just about everything to get it to work, but can't think of anything, and yes..I've tried uninstalling it from Device Manager and letting the computer recognize it, nothing. I'm starting to get really frustrated, any help, please?

    Thanks.

    (Little more info)

The reason the slave doesn't work, was that I was cleaning the registry, and System/Config/System got corrupted or something. But I don't know why it doesn't show up in My Computer though.
