Can't relocate Users folder subfolders due to SecureRom

    Hi there,

I bought a 70gb Solid State Drive for my C drive, and unfortunately now it's filling up.

Currently I cannot remove any programs (I'll be installing my Adobe Suite somewhere else in future).

I'd like to relocate some of the Users folder subfolders such as:

    C:\Users\Robin\AppData\Local

    C:\Users\Robin\AppData\Roaming

    To another drive.

When I try to Move then Apply with the properties dialog, in both cases there are files which "cannot be found" or are "already in use". In the cases they seem to be either SecureRom files with weird filenames which windows cannot copy, or UserDat.dat files.

I take it I'd need to try to find out what programs these are linked with, uninstall them, and reinstall them after the move. Is this my only option? Currently I don't know what program they are linked with unfortunately, and don't know how to find out.

    Best wishes

    Robin Brinkler

I don't think move that folders is a good idea.

Is better just move the data of the users to the other drive not the system folders.

I mean, for example, you can change the Drive letter for "My Documents" to other drive and is easiest way.

Take care moving folders of the system you could broke your Windows.

If you need more help tell us.

Thanks - at the moment I think I've moved all the folders I can. I thought 70gb would be plenty for windows, a few programs and the Adobe Suite, but it's rapidly decreased down to 600mb and I don't really know what else I can remove. Ah well, might be time to change the system drive to something larger, or reinstall the Adobe Suite on another drive.
