I Have read the threads regarding malware removal and READ ME FIRST.

CWS.Hiddendll keeps reappearing after I reboot according to CWShredder.

None of the other program and scans have detected anything and I have run cleanups and scanners in both safemode and online.

CWSshredder doesnt find anything in safe mode...only upon reboot to windows.

I have run in no particular order.....CCleaner, Norton AV, Ewido, Panda, Aboutbuster, CWShredder, AD-Aware, Hoster zip program to restore original hosts, Spysweeper, Spybot, and Microsoft anti-spy and all detect nothing except CWShredder as I previously stated.

In an attempt to save us all time I have also googled "CWS.Hiddendll" and checked 10-20 different sources of info regarding this spyware but most of them also had the infected comps dealing with search engine problems and the typical hijacked home pages.......of which I dont have.......Im having no lag issues or homepage redirections (unless Spysweeper is automatically changing them without notifying me).

Im assuming I need to make registry edit or post a HJT log?

Thanks ahead of time for any replies.

Ill get those scans going and attache.

    And Ill fix those lines.

Im not totally sure about actual "location" as when CWShredder runs its not giving me locations unless you tell location by the fact that its being identified as "CWS.Hiddendll".

    Thanks

I read exactlly what you stated on another tech/comp/geek help site but what exactly is a "false positive"? Im assuming from the rest of your response that its not that big of a deal (hopefully)?

And yes, its the only thing found in the dozen or so scans and cleanups I have done in the past 24 hours.

I ran the Bitdefender scan last night (took almost 1.5 hours) but I must have misred the directions because when it was completed I was never given the option of saving the results...of which there werent any...clean scan.

Ive also ran Pandascan 2-3 times in the past 24 hours and it is also clean...which is why Im not including them as attachements.

Should I not worry too much about this issue?

    Thanks again for your time

Ok. After messing with Hoster and Spysweeper....CWS.Hiddendll is still showing up on reboot.
