Can't remove Defendgate free web accelerator

I downloaded the free web accelerator from Defendgate found here onto my mother in laws computer to help her out, and wasn't impressed with it, knowing it would be too difficult for her to figure out. After using the uninstall option downloaded with it, it still appears with the windows start up... She has Windows ME for her OS. I have run Ad aware, and Spybot S&D, and it still won't leave...Not sure what to do next! HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

If you look in Add/Remove programs, does it still show there?

If not, you may just be able to delete the entry from your Startup folder.

By the way, this is not really an issue for the malware forum. It is more of an issue for the Software Forum. But for now let's continue here.

It doesn't show up in the add/remove list, and I uninstalled it using the uninstall program that loaded with it...It doesn't show up on the start menu, I searched the computer for it, it doesn't show up anywhere...That's why I listed the problem here, because it is a nasty little bugger to get rid of....What now? Thanks!

If it does not show up anywhere and you are now saying it does not appear in the Start Menu, then where is it showing. In your first message you said it was in the Start Menu. There are many Start Menus. One for each user name defined on the PC (that is, if there is more than one user).
