Can't renew IP Address

Hi I did a search for similar problems in the forum but I can't seem to find a solution that works for me.

I have 6 laptops in my house that connected to our wireless network but one day we couldn't connect anymore. I get a "Limited or no connectivity" icon and when i try to renew my IP, I get an error message. I can only connect through an ethernet cable now.

I get an IP address that starts with 169.254... which I've learned is not a good thing. I've tried powering off the router and powering back on, and also resetting the router. None of that worked.

Also, the name of my Wireless network was "20b6" and when the Wireless stopped working it became just "Wireless". I tried re-enter the 26 digit key again but it still doesn't work.

 

My friend somehow fixed it while I was away at work. I wish I knew what she did.. but oh well.
