    Hello,
I recently had problem with my laptop..my computer was shutting down without reason. I changed the battery and forgot about it, later i decided to run my antivirus and pc shut down without notice...tried search and destroy..same results. Sometimes i have to start in safe mode, sometimes i can not log in (psw incorrect) i tried different ways to connect but the result is everytime i try to clean, pc shut down..I tried to install everything you put on the forum i installed every program such as RogueKiller, malware, combofix...but everytime the scan start...pc shut down..Any ideas..
    Thank you

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Wow! Two threads in a row where I have to say this.

You did not even tell us what version of Windows you are running on the problem computer and this is the first thing you should always tell us. It has an impact on what steps we can or will take. Please put the hard disk back into the original PC.

How do you know there is no reason? Are you sure there is no overheating problem? No memory problems? Did you get blue screen crashes? Or did it just turn off or was it in hibernation mode? Did you ever try looking at event logs?

Also what leads you to post here in the Malware Forum as opposed to posting in the Hardware Forum or even the Software Forum?

Sorry you took it that way but I was just remarking on a fact that I had received multiple requests for help in a row that did not even bother to tell us what version of Windows is being used. This would be the same thing as telling a doctor you have a pain but not telling them where.

That's fine but make sure that you tell them what version of Windows you are using.
