Cant run regedit, msconfig, ++++++

    First of all I have done all things that I could in the READ THIS FIRST section of Malware removal. Could not rin the Bitdefender or Panda.Cant run regedit, msconfig, and home page has been changed to www.messengersite.net/forum/portal.htm. Can run hijackthis either just flashes a message that cant read. Regedit opens for about 5 seconds and so does msconfig. Please help.

    Oh there was nothing to the RunKeys.txt file.

    Here is help for fixing the blank report logs for these: (Do the appropriate fix and then re-install and run the programs).

    ShowNew

    GetRunKeys

    RE-run Counterspy and have it remove/quarantine everything it finds.

    I ahve done what you have suggested and still cannot run hijackthis. Although I can get a little farther, it makes it to the main screen and it will start a scan then exits out. Anymore suggestions? Or have I done something wrong? Sorry and thank you.

    Re-run Counterspy and have it remove/quarantine everything that it finds.

    Next I want you to try to download and run: DrWebCureit

    Attach a log from both scans.

    See if you can run any of the other scans (HJT - which you should be downloading to C:\Program Files\HJT\analyze.exe - as well as re-running the ShowNew and GetRunKeys.
