I've been trying to install this logitech notebook camera USB. Everytime it trys to finish the driver install, it gives me this I/O error saying needs to thread exit or possibleing something else is running to interfere with it.

So I ran all my usuall spyware, such as Adaware, removed a bunch of infected files. Spybot, same removed a few more. Installed spyblaster to help out for future problems. Ran Norton Antivirus, found PIB and TPBS and I was able to remove those two, thought that was the problem, but the computer seems to be a bit quicker but still cant install the camera. The camera does install on other Desktops fine and laptops, that I have to test with. I also ran stinger, didnt find anything. So Im trying to figure out which process is running that could be affecting this. I can find it, but now when I run Norton and hangs fours hours on a MSOBSHEL.HTM file, I tryed to research on that and it only tells me that its a international time adjuster feature of some sort. But a few threads that I read suggested to run HIJACK THIS and post the logfile which, I did and a I have!

So any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I heard people here were the best!! So here is the log file!

Edit by chaslang: Inline HJT log removed. READ & RUN ME sticky not followed.

There it is, once again any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks in advanced!

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Problems with installing your new hardware are more than likely not malware. However a HijackThis log alone is not enough to tell you whether you have malware problems. If you want to pursue a malware removal course, you will have to follow the below steps. Otherwise I suggest you post in the hardware or software forum. You could just have hardware or software compatibility issues.

Suggesion: Don't give vague error messages! Give exact word for word error messages!

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, renaming, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
