Cant Uninstall Nortons!

The title says it all. The nortons on my work computer started screwing up, leading me to attempt an uninstall. There was Nortons AntiVirus 2003, AND Nortons AntiVirus 2005 on the computer. When I attempt to uninstall 2003,i get a window that says 'installation ended prematurely because of an error' I click <ok> then another window pops up and says 'fatal error during installation'.
(i thought I was UNinstalling!)
Then,when I try to uninstall 2005, I get a message saying 'we have detected a newer version of norton antivirus and it needs to be removed in order to install this version-setup will now exit' (again whats with the INSTALL references when I am UNinstalling?).
When I boot up the system, I get error messages from Symantec saying things like (so-and-so)file is missing, cannot load etc.....I get like 4 of these messages . I cant figure out how to remove COMPLETELY the nortons, and get rid of these error messages on bootup. I would attempt to reinstall Nortons from the disk if I can FIND it-but im not sure Ill be able to.

I went ahead and installed ZoneAlarm, so that the computer will be protected while my co-workers use it on the other shift, but I still need to get rid of those Nortons files. How can I completely uninstall the Nortons?

Im glad they finally released a version that would remove 04 and 05 versions. The utility for 03 and older has done miracles for me.

That was a real find, I had to do some serious searching on their site to find it. You would think that they woud make the removal tools easier to find.
