Can't Update Windos, Sleep Or Restart

About 2 weeks ago my problem started. When I put my computer in sleep mode it would not shut down, it started the sleep process, and appeared to be entering sleep mode, but stays powered on. When trying to resume using the system, by waking it with keyboard, it would not wake up. I would have to power cycle the system. Also when I try to do a windows restart it would just hang with the spinning "wait" circle.
I thought it might be one of the applications running. So I tried to isolate things. I try to do windows update, but it will hang that process, waiting forever. Other programs like Comodo firewall will hang when doing update. I did selective startup and turned off all startup apps. Same issues. So I am thinking it is a virus.

The system has also slowed down to a crawl doing some firefox navigation, to where I had to boot to safe mode to do anything. So I had to run the steps in the guide in safe mode.
System is Windows 7 / 64bit, Intel i7, 16G ram
Attached are the logs from running the programs in the guide.
I appreciate whatever help I can get.
Note: TDSSKiller reported no threats found - I don't think I saved any log there.

Your problems are not due to malware. You logs are all basically clean other than some minor junk that Malwarebytes removed. What I suggest is that you uninstall the below:

SUPERAntiSpyware

Spybot

And then reboot to see if there is any change. If no change then try uninstalling each of the below but one at a time with a reboot after each one to see if any of these are causing issues:

Comodo

Avira

I also recommend that you run CCleaner as requested in the READ & RUN ME FIRST to cleanup all the temp files you have collected.

Other than the above you will probably have to post in the Software since you are not having malware problems.

Wow, nice call. You solved my issues. I followed your suggestion to start by uninstalling SUPERAntiSpyware and Spybot. After doing that and rebooting, my PC was able to shut down (instead of hanging) and also was able to not hang when sleeping, and wake up correctly. I can get through to windows update now also. Thanks so much for your excellent help!!!

Since you are not having malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.

Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.

Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.

If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.

Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.

Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
