Still getting case ready for 07 build. Modded a front bay window to show off the windowed Raptors (ie cut out drive cage etc). The first pic shows the painted case without the carbon fiber inserts.

Get translucent dots when take pics this close, but you can get idea how it looks. Wire(s) hanging down will be hid on completed case. Site has two resos so click on pic for best view.

Carbon Fiber panels really finished off the drive bay window area vs the pre look here. http://xs.to/xs.php?f=IM000134.JPG&h=xs104&d=06315

These are mods on bay covers adapted to hold window

Hope this helps/gives ideas to someone modding an original CM Stacker

Dogin, excellent paint job. I like the red paint, particularly in the inside of the case. How did you do that and what was the process ???? That is the best interior painting I have ever seen. If I ever do another built I would like to try that.

    Thanks!
took the whole thing apart and sanded it down, sprayed it with zinc chromate, then primer, then the burgundy (matches the exterior color with the red case lights on {ruby red metallic}. then clear coated it.
the burgundy and clear coats were hand rubbed (wet sanded) between coats and after 30days rubbed out with lite compound and then polishing compound. Used duplicolor car paint on outside and Krylon on the inside. Even though its spray cans, when you rub it out smooth it looks like glass. Krylon tends to spatter so cleaned spray heads frequently and shook them very well between coats. Only the clear coat was rubbed out on the Ruby red metallic so the metallic sparkels through. Its fun but takes a lot of time.

I don't really like case mods, because most turn out bad in my opinion.

But I'm fussy, I only like only like one Antec case, and 1 Dell Case, every other case is ugly to me, so don't take this badly.

    It's ugly.

    :(

Thanks Dogin, I am keeping this information on your painting process. Your case looks great. Thanks for sharing it with us. :) :) :)
